Anne Kaese and butterfly 2022

Anne Kaese (Titterington)

A late starter to the marriage and kids journey, I am not quite an empty nester but getting closer - talk to me on July 29 when my 20 year old son moves out.  My 22 year old daughter is living her best life travelling, teaching viola and violin and doing event planning for a local chain of fair-everything coffee shops.  My days are spent as an ERP Manufacturing Software Architect and nights with calligraphy, watercolor, beehives and butterfly initiatives.  I teach art and run 2 different education groups focused on manuscript and medieval art studies.  I serve on a number of boards that are focused on serving women, art and music in our community.

We live in Fargo (that one) and freeze 6 months of the year.  My husband retires in a year and I might work part time and travel more, do more art and get more involved in politics & women's issues.  Time will tell!

Hello Class of '83! Great to have the opportunity to connect again after all these years.

After a wonderful financial services career in London & in Cape Town, I ran an Interior Design company for several years providing a turnkey
service. In 2018 I started a new company, Flexiroam Africa, that
provides a data roaming solution to international travelers & an enterprise IoT connectivity solution.

I live in Lisbon with my partner, Niel & our adopted rescue, Max, a very exuberant Yorkie! My 3 grown-up sons, Kimon, Nikos & Dinos & my other rescue, Gus, a super cute Spaniel, live in Cape Town.

I love to travel, to write & spend as much time as I can with my sons & with my mum who is 83. I'm learning Portuguese & also how to roller blade while trying my best not to wipe out.....

Jackie Redman & Lisa Doyle

We are “ the twins” Jackie and Lisa ( Doyle). Lisa is a natural mother, living in Johannesburg with 5 beautiful children from 33 to 23 years and 3 grandchildren, with another on the way, alongside her husband, Ismail. Jackie has not been a mother but feels fortunate to have 7 nieces/nephews and other godchildren to bring that grounding experience of hope and new life. Robbie Davis , Annette’s ( Groeneveld) last born, is a treasured godson and connection with a truly dear and life long friend, Annette. Jackie and John married more than 30 years ago, living in north west England. Her career required international travel and meeting wonderful people from different cultures until the pandemic forced a reset, which unexpectedly has proven positive for so many reasons. Trinity was good school for “ the twins” for lots of reasons and we are grateful for the rounded education that came with it. We will be 58 this year. Where has the time gone. We hope many more years lie ahead and the young will be able to forge their own paths and be the best that they can be. Warmest to you All.

Where has the time gone, and what a journey it has been! Today, I am a wife, stepmom, consultant/writer, student and lover of all things culinary. After completing my Bachelor of Journalism at Rhodes, I worked for 18 years as a financial journalist, mostly in Johannesburg, before moving to corporate to head up Communications for South African Airways (nearly killed me) and then South African Breweries. My husband Peter Bruce and I then took the leap and moved to the Cape, living in a small village called Stanford (near Hermanus). I'm now a consultant advising corporates, completing an MSc in Clinical Nutrition, love to cook, support the team in the restaurant we own, spend time with my husband and kids Nick and Alex, our beloved Ridgeback dogs, travel and hang out with good friends. I so look forward to seeing you all and hearing about your lives since we were last together.

Hello class of ‘83, I am very sorry to not to make it to the reunion. My wife is scheduled to have an operation the week before, so too soon for us to travel. We live in South East London, not far from Marion's sisters and my brother and closest cousin, Valerie, who went to Woodridge. How did we end up here, back in the UK after my parents emigrated from Scotland in 1963? Well, after I took a detour via a seminary in Hammanskraal, I studied clinical psychology at UCT. I met my wife Marion while we both worked at Groote Schuur, but her family are originally from PE. We have two boys, Justin 28 and Richard 23, and both work in the NHS. I spend rather too much time working, with a private practice in psychotherapy and assessments for the Courts. My NHS work is with people who have committed offenses and my special interest is in restorative justice, thanks to the TRC. My Dad passed of covid two years ago, but my mum came through and I try to get back more often now, so get to catch up with the lovely peeps in GQ from time to time. Have a great time in August, looking forward to seeing the photos!

Diane McCann (Radley)

I qualified as an accountant studying at Rhodes University and then moved to Johannesburg where I initially worked at PwC and then spent most of my career in the corporate world, firstly as a CFO and later as a CEO. I have two talented daughters, with my older daughter a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and my baby studying at Stellenbosch University. At 50 I retired and now spend many enjoyable hours investing in startups as well as more developed private companies. With the remainder of my time, I serve on global listed Boards and contribute on a philanthropic trust focusing on ECD and job creation. I am about to embark on a building project (in my spare time and with the help of my long suffering husband, Patrick) and look forward to designing and developing my new garden.

How lovely to see the class of '83 photo & read up on updates. Wow lots has happened in all our lives. I left South Africa in 2000 with my husband, son & daughter, moved to New Zealand & then to Australia in 2012. I am since divorced & in a long-term relationship with my lovely Australian partner, Jeremy. We live in Perth, in a lovely quiet old country town called Chidlow, in a rural setting on 7 acres of land. I'v been in Retail Management, ladies fashion, for many years in New Zealand & Australia, & now retired to the countryside for a much more quiet lifestyle. I'v taken up gardening, my new-found hobby, which I find so relaxing, I love cooking & baking as well. My partner is a musician, plays guitar, & comes from the Boyd family who are a long line of mainly musicians & artists. My adult children have moved on years ago, my son lives in Melbourne & my daughter lives in Perth city, but might be moving to Holland to be with her partner, or vice versa, they're not sure yet Just an update on me A nice quiet lifestyle is all I need to be happy, after lottts of stress, turmoil & unhappiness with my ex. So it seems I'v been destined to become a country girl after all, lol it must have been something to do with taking my kids to St. Dominics Priory all those years ago

Hi Trinity friends, I am looking forward to seeing some of you soon! Always a late bloomer, I started a radical change

transition process in 2008, which included getting married (to Dale, an American, who came with Aaron, his 12 year old son), going back to study, changing careers, and starting my own business, Far Sight Skills Development, after several years as a high school teacher of English. My transformation from someone who was afraid of change to a confident, qualified and experienced facilitator and coach, working with corporates, NGO’s and private individuals was kick started by a coaching process I entered into after

attending a career reinvention workshop. I live with Dale in Elgin in the Western Cape, on an apple farm in cool wine country and enjoy walking, reading and writing and spending time with the special people in our community.

Sister Dorothy once said of Anne, Bev and me that she believed we would be “forces for good in the world.” I would like to believe that we are that, among other things.

Claire Kingan-Jones (Jones)

After school I studied fashion design and created a surf clothing label in PE for a couple of years before selling up and

heading to the UK to work and travel

(with other friends from school). While

there I met my Kiwi husband, Struan, and have been living in NZ since 1992 (we got married in SA during the 1995 RWC).  We have 2 son’s Byron & Oscar, aged 23 & 20. My career in NZ spanned 20-plus years of again creating a clothing label – supplying boutiques throughout NZ & Aus. I moved on from the frantic

fashion industry in 2014 and have been dabbling in interiors and properties. I love photography, writing, art & my garden and together we love travelling, supporting our son's sports & hobbies & lots of socialising. I am hoping to make it back to catch up with everyone at the reunion in South Africa or in Europe.

Hi everyone. It was something of a shock to receive an invitation to a 40th school reunion – already! After matriculating I did my two years military conscription (I was an exceptionally hopeless soldier). I then went to PE Technikon for a year of art before going to Rhodes University and continuing with fine art (painting) and adding English literature as well. After graduating, realising how unprepared I was to earn a living,  I did an honour’s degree in English Language teaching. This enabled me to travel & work at the same time, in Japan for a year & a half, then 6 months travelling, then back to South Africa for a year, doing various alternative therapy courses; reflexology, shiatsu, and suchlike.  But when a chance arose to go back east, it was off to South Korea & teaching English for five years. Needing to upgrade my qualifications to keep teaching at universities, I enrolled at Wits University & completed a  master’s in biography, creative writing & screenplay. I stayed in Johannesburg for a year or two more, teaching privately, then returned to PE, teaching English to Chinese students at PE Technikon. After PE, I settled in Australia, interspersing life in Sydney with short term teaching contracts in Indonesia. I now teach English to international students at Sydney University, & aspire to a quiet life of subsistence gardening in a rural setting.

Time flies

40 years.... poof.....

And who?

Our lives have taken such different twists and turns

Good people

Good times

Could be you?

Different lives, different hopes

Fine people

Fine lives
